Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard.” When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing, and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

November 17 - December 30, 2023

An old testament story told entirely through song, Joseph… follows the story of Jacob’s favorite son, Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, Joseph ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family. The magical musical is full of catchy songs including the unforgettable classics “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door.”

It Happened in Key West

It Happened in Key West is inspired by shocking true events that rocked the tiny island of Key West in the 1930s. After decades of searching for the dream girl of his boyhood visions, eccentric scientist Carl finds Elena in Key West, only to lose the young beauty to the fatal disease of tuberculosis. But for Carl, the eternal optimist, death is only the beginning. Haunted by Elena’s spirit and at her request, he takes her body from the graveyard, brings her home and embarks on the most ambitious “fixer upper” project in history as he tries to bring his beloved back to life.

South Pacific

April 19 - May 19, 2024

On a South Pacific island during World War II, Ensign Nellie Forbush, a spunky nurse from Arkansas, falls in love with Frenchman Emile de Becque. When Nellie learns that the mother of Emile’s children was an island native, she refuses Emile’s proposal of marriage, unable to overcome the prejudices with which she was raised. Meanwhile, the strapping Lt. Joe Cable falls in love with a Tonkinese girl named Liat, but he, too, denies himself a future due to the same fears that haunt Nellie.

The world-famous Willy Wonka is opening the gates to his mysterious factory…but only to a lucky few. Young Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination including chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels, and the great glass elevator, all to be revealed by Wonka’s army of curious Oompa-Loompas.

Misery

October 13 - October 29, 2023

Successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon is rescued from a car crash by his “number one fan,” Annie Wilkes, and wakes up captive in her secluded home. While Paul is convalescing, Annie reads his latest book and becomes enraged when she discovers the author has killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain. Annie forces Paul to write a new Misery novel, and he quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go anywhere. The irate Annie has Paul writing as if his life depends on it, and it does.

Equus

February 16 - March 3, 2024

Dr. Martin Dysart, a psychiatrist, is confronted with Alan Strang, a boy who has blinded six horses in a violent fit of passion. This very passion is as foreign to Dysart as the act itself. To the boy’s parents, it is a hideous mystery; Alan has always adored horses. To Dysart, it is a psychological puzzle that leads both doctor and patient to a complex and disturbingly dramatic confrontation.

Tuesdays with Morrie

March 29 - April 14, 2024

The autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie’s appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life. “The truth is, once you learn how to die, you learn how to live.”

The Last Five Years

May 10 - May 26, 2024

An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backward while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show. “Will you share your life with me for the next ten minutes?”

Sleeping Beauty

September 23 - October 7, 2023

A recipe for a very colorful musical: Start with the Andrews Sisters-inspired trio Ruby, Marigold, and Periwinkle; mix in the evil Queen Magenta; add Sienna the talking owl; then blend the muddled monarch King Lapis with an allergy-prone Prince Hunter and a particularly peculiar Princess Amber. Top it all off with a fire-breathing dragon and you have a musical retelling of the Brothers Grimm tale teeming with shattered stereotypes, broken rules, and quests aplenty.

Peter Pan

December 2 - 23, 2023

J.M. Barrie’s classic story of a boy who doesn’t want to grow up comes to life! Join the Darling children as they follow Peter Pan on an adventure, filled with pirates, Indians, and lost boys, to do battle with his nemesis, Captain Hook. “Just close your eyes and think of a magic place.”

Junie B Jones

April 27 - May 18, 2024

It’s Junie B.’s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed for her: Junie’s friend, Lucille, doesn’t want to be her best pal anymore and, on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. Also, Junie has trouble reading the blackboard and her teacher, Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses. Throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal,” and first grade has never been more exciting.
