High School Theatre Festival HAIRSPRAY Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 10 am

The High School Theatre Festival allows students and teachers grades 9 to 12 to engage in a full day of theatre arts performance and instruction led by the professional theatre artists, designers, directors, and educators who share their talents with the Fulton each season.  Study Guides are distributed to students and teachers approximately one month before their visit to the Fulton, with additional learning materials distributed at the event.  Written by our theatre’s Education staff, with additional support from the appropriate artistic and production staff members, these materials explore the ways in which ideas are taken from “page to stage” and detail the roles a Director, Dramaturg, Designer, Actor, and Critic play in bringing a theatre performance to life. Schools may choose to attend the show only ($11 per student) or stay for the lunch and workshops in the afternoon ($21 per student). Tentative schedule for the day: 10am – 12:30pm Performance of Hairspray – Talkback immediately after performance  (Groups attending the show only are dismissed following the talkback.) Groups staying for the workshops have lunch and rotate between workshops: 12:45 – 1:15 pm Lunch, 1:20 – 1:40 pm Workshop 1, 1:45 – 2:05 pm Workshop 2, 2:10 – 2:30 pm Workshop 3, 2:35 – 3:00pm Full group final session
